1. Sudden performance drop ("one second drop speed")
RoCE docking with VMware failed to scan RDMA controller
Version 6.1.2. SPH16: After enabling RDMA network card in the VMware 7.0u3 environment, the storage port cannot be recognized on the SQLite side, resulting in all paths being down and business IO instantly resetting to zero. It is necessary to revert back to TCP or upgrade to patch 6.1.8 or above.
SmartKit performance data acquisition card at 32%
The internal diagnostic module of the controller is deadlocked, with the acquisition thread occupying the CPU, causing the front-end latency to jump from 0.05 ms to 10+ms, resulting in a "sudden lag". Restarting the controller can restore the issue.
2. Reliability "hanging in seconds"
2U control box automatic power on/off
The slide screws were not tightened according to the torque, resulting in poor contact of the power terminals during transportation or high-frequency vibration. The entire frame was instantly powered off - on - off, and the dual active cluster switched directly, causing a business interruption of 15-30 seconds.
BBU charging and discharging cycle bug
The early version of BBU calibration cycle calculation was incorrect, triggering forced discharge during peak business hours. If the temperature in the data center is>35 ℃, it will also protect the power-off, causing a "second level shutdown".
3. Network/protocol 'second switching failure'
Compatibility issues with Brocade switches
Prior to firmware 6.1.5, there was a link level FC-BB Credit negotiation defect with Boko 9.0. x, resulting in a link transient interruption of 50-200 ms, dual active write I/O timeout, and triggering host multipath miscutting, manifested as "instantaneous volume loss".
Cable length specification alarm ignored
If the passive DAC exceeds 5 meters or the multi-mode OM4 exceeds 25 meters without speed reduction, the bit error rate suddenly increases, and CRC errors accumulate to the threshold, the port will directly shut down, and the business path will disappear in seconds.
4. Operations/Management "Second Strike"
Upload patch>2 GB, direct error reported
The web management interface is limited to 2 GB, and large patches need to be unpacked or replaced with CLI/FusionCare, otherwise it will prompt a failure and lock the upgrade process, resulting in a "second lag" of 91%.
